The October 2026 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang meta is defined by speed. Assassin junglers such as Julian and Yi Sun-shin dictate how fast games move, and most of the heroes at the top of the tier list are either riding that tempo or built to stop it.
That tension explains the rankings better than any single hero does. The jungle favors mobility, so lockdown and displacement have climbed with it. Sustain keeps frontlines standing, and true damage exists to break them. Picking well this month mostly means knowing which side of that exchange your hero sits on.

The jungle sets the tempo
Yi Sun-shin stays at the top for two reasons: he can reveal every enemy on the map, and he is dangerous when picking off isolated targets. The current meta rewards heroes that rotate and farm quickly, and he can carry on his own without needing a carefully built draft around him. That is a real advantage when your teammates are inconsistent.
Julian wins by snowballing. Once he reaches Level 3 he can start ganking lanes or invading camps, which makes him a strong solo queue pick. His weakness is crowd control. Heavy CC compositions shut him down, which is why he is rarely seen in pro play, where heroes like Tigreal and Jawhead are common.
Utility junglers have not disappeared either. Fredrinn is back in the S-tier after several seasons out of the meta. He is less dominant than before but still dangerous with a utility support such as Mathilda or Floryn behind him. His return has also opened the draft: with tank junglers viable again, EXP laners can go back to damage-oriented picks like Arlott to cover the shortfall.
Revamp Aulus has climbed mainly on the strength of his Skill 1, which grants a movement speed boost along with immunity to crowd control. That makes him one of the best CC-immune options in the game. The catch is that he falls off if he cannot snowball or get War Axe early.
The answers to speed: lockdown, displacement, reveal
If the jungle is built on dashes, the counters are obvious, and the S-tier contains plenty of them.
- Phoveus reduces his skill cooldowns whenever nearby enemies use a dash skill, so he thrives against Yi Sun-shin, Freya and Wanwan. His weak spot is HP% and true damage, which makes Karrie one of his worst matchups.
- Revamp Eudora has a one-hit-kill combo and strong lane pressure. Her skills stun, so she can finish targets before they regain control. She falls off against high-sustain compositions, especially healers like Rafaela and Floryn paired with tanks such as Minotaur, Atlas and Belerick.
- Zhuxin relies on Skill 1, Fluttering Grace, to pick enemies up and throw them around. With Sky Piercer, she can execute low-HP targets in the same sequence. Her damage is modest for a mage, so she works more as a peel hero and depends on her team.
- Zetian has an Ultimate that reveals every enemy and stuns them. Her combo works best after landing Skill 2, Phoenix Descent, which lowers Magic Defense. She has no mobility, so she needs protection in fights.
- Carmilla is enjoying a rare spell at the top. Her Ultimate shares crowd control between the enemies it hits, which punishes teams that group up to make plays.
Pattern to watch
A large share of this month's S-tier is built around pinning, pulling or revealing mobile targets. Heroes with weak escapes, such as Zetian and Selena, remain exposed because the meta is full of fast threats.
Fighters and tanks: the biggest tier
Both categories have seven S-tier entries, the deepest pools of any role.
Sora is the most versatile fighter on the list. His Thunder form brings high burst damage, while his Turret form turns him into a crowd-control tank that deals damage based on enemy max HP. He is demanding to play, with nine abilities including his base form, so expect a learning curve.
Badang is not S-tier but earns a mention as an A-tier counterpick. His wall-based lockdown combo pins mobile enemies in place long enough for allies to arrive.
Among tanks, sustain and disruption are the common themes:
- Uranus survives lane through constant self-healing. The trade-off is low damage, so he mostly serves as a damage sponge in teamfights.
- Gloo returned to relevance after his recent revamp and remains one of the most-banned heroes in the game. HP% and true damage heroes such as Karrie are the standard answer.
- Belerick has shifted from a counter to basic-attack heroes into a frontline that draws attention, and he can hold junglers and delay their Retribution. His taunts need teammates who can follow up.
Marksmen, supports and the damage race
Kimmy rose after her revamp. She keeps her hold-the-button playstyle but now has some crowd control and escape tools, and her Ultimate's vacuum effect and piercing enhanced attacks make her a strong kiter. As with most marksmen, assassins like Ling and Lancelot can still reach her.
Karrie is the counter to tank-heavy drafts. Her Lightwheel Mark passive deals true damage, ignoring defenses, so even durable frontliners melt once marks are applied. The source expects her to stay in the meta because of that unique kit.
On the support side, Floryn leads on healing, with a global Ultimate that heals allies wherever they are. Her Dew passive also adds a shield to one chosen ally, which makes her popular in duo queue. She does very little damage, so a team that falls behind has few options. The best fit is a utility composition with at least two tanks.
Best picks for solo queue
Solo players have different needs, since they cannot rely on coordination. These heroes give you the most control on your own:
| Hero | Why it works in solo queue |
|---|---|
| Belerick | Ultimate taunts every enemy in its area, which suits teams that depend on coordination |
| Atlas | Strong engage that drags targets together for easy burst |
| Selena | Scouting and burst, good in Roam or Mid |
| Aulus | Ultimate provides CC immunity for jumping into fights |
| Sora | Multiple ways to stop enemies from moving |
| Hanabi | Immune to CC while her shield is up |
| Zetian | Ultimate reveals and stuns enemies from anywhere |
| Freya | Strong 1v1 and flexible across EXP, Jungle and Gold lanes |
What the meta rewards
Two ideas explain most of the October picture. The first is tempo: Julian and Yi Sun-shin push games forward, and a draft needs something to answer them. The second is the damage-versus-sustain loop: tanks like Gloo and Uranus and healers like Floryn make fights long, so true damage from Karrie and HP% damage become important levers.
For ranked, that suggests a simple approach. Take one reliable answer to dashes and one answer to tanks, and the S-tier usually has a pick that fits both needs. Solo players should lean toward heroes with built-in control, such as Belerick, Atlas or Sora, rather than relying on a team to set up kills.
Hero strength shifts quickly with patches and revamps, so check back as the month goes on.
