Wicadia Powers Aurora Past Spirit to Take Third at ESL Pro League Season 24

Aurora finished on the podium at ESL Pro League Season 24, beating Spirit 2-0 on 11 October 2026 to take third place. The scores were 13-9 on Mirage and 13-6 on Anubis.

For a lineup that has only recently come together, the bronze-medal match carried real weight. Aurora's international roster is trying to turn its recent form into a place in Stage 3 of the Singapore Major, and a clean win over a team featuring sh1ro and donk is a useful data point in that effort. Spirit, by contrast, played the match with less at stake and were visibly frustrated on camera as it slipped away.

One map contested, one decided early

The veto ended with Spirit on Mirage and Aurora on Anubis, so Nuke, the leftover map, never came into play.

Mirage was the closer of the two. Aurora took the pistol round and built a 6-1 lead, but Spirit answered with several low-buy wins and went into the break trailing 7-5. The second half finished 6-4 in Aurora's favor, and Spirit's attempt to reel the game in came up short on their own pick. Wicadia opened the map with an ace on the pistol round, which set the tone.

Anubis was effectively settled before the halves changed. Aurora won the first half 9-3, and Spirit took only three of the final seven rounds after the switch. The 13-6 scoreline matches how the half-by-half numbers looked.

Wicadia carries the numbers

The individual stats explain how Aurora got there. Wicadia finished 41-25 with a 1.53 Rating 3.0 and 98.6 ADR, the highest in the match in both categories. Jimpphat posted a 1.40 rating and the largest swing of the series at +5.20%, so Aurora's two best performers came from different parts of the roster than you might expect to dominate.

Rating 3.0 by Player

Depth is where the two sides separated. Four of Aurora's five players finished at or above 1.07, with kyxsan just under the line at 0.99. Spirit leaned on sh1ro (1.15) and donk (1.01), while tN1R, zont1x and magixx all ended below 1.00. zont1x's -4.85% swing was the worst of the series, and tN1R's 58.5% KAST was the lowest.

Third place won't settle Aurora's Major route by itself, but it gives the roster a result against a high-profile opponent heading into the Stage 3 push. Spirit leave the event with sh1ro's 1.15 as the main positive from the series.
